JOB PURPOSE
Amnesty International is seeking a strategic Global Supporter Engagement Manager to lead and develop supporter engagement strategies that drive public mobilisation for human rights change. This role plays a key role in managing Amnesty International's International Membership, working across regional teams and digital platforms to deepen engagement and increase activism.
This is a unique opportunity to shape Amnesty's global supporter experience, ensuring that individuals worldwide are empowered to take action in support of human rights.
Please note that this is a fixed-term contract opportuntiy of 8 months.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the Global Supporter Engagement Team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring the successful delivery of engagement strategies.
- Develop and implement innovative engagement strategies, increasing participation and deepening relationships with Amnesty's international members and supporters.
- Ensure a seamless supporter journey, from onboarding through to sustained activism, using digital engagement and personalisation techniques.
- Optimise supporter engagement tools and systems, ensuring effective delivery and alignment with organisational priorities.
- Manage global supporter engagement content, ensuring high-quality, impactful communication across campaigns, activism, and fundraising initiatives.
- Encourage innovation in digital engagement, identifying new approaches, channels, and opportunities to enhance supporter involvement.
- Oversee compliance and best practice in supporter data management, ensuring alignment with GDPR and Amnesty's internal policies.
- Support and mentor regional supporter engagement officers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the movement.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Significant experience in digital marketing and supporter engagement, with expertise in email marketing and CRM platforms.
- Strong writing skills, with experience in crafting compelling visual and written content for email and digital platforms.
- Proven ability to manage and optimise supporter engagement strategies, improving engagement rates and reducing attrition.
- Technical proficiency with email service providers, CRM tools (preferably Engaging Networks), and data segmentation.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing audience engagement strategies, particularly in non-profit, campaigning, or fundraising contexts.
- Experience in performance tracking and analysis, with a data-driven approach to engagement.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one additional language (preferably Arabic, Spanish, or French).
